I love the concept in this chapter of pulling people into your story through various means. Though without knowing it, I think I was a week ahead with my story that I told last Tuesday as there was a story like it in this chapter. Starting out with a story that would happen every day with my grandfather, then telling about what happened with him and another reason why I respect him.

Pulling the audience cannot be understated. I think this is what we try to do every day in situations we don't even realize.

Pulling in an audience cannot be understated. I agree.

I don't think there will ever be a set rule as to how to pull in an audience because every audience is different.

A good salesman doesn't give the same story to every potential customer. Some of the same information is given, but the story changes so that the salesman can relate to each customer individually.

Each audience must be appealed to in their own way to maintain their attention.
