September 11
Alright, this may be a terrible idea, but I thought it would be cool if we all told 9/11 related stories tomorrow night. Where were you? How did it make you feel? Did it change you in any way? Blah blah blah. This could give us all a common theme and it would be cool to see where everyone goes with it. Of course, now that I think of it, this wouldn't really be fair to the international students, would it?

Well, that is ok. We could share some other stories of bad news. Maybe like 921 earthquake in Taiwan.
9/11 affected people outside the US, too. The waves of the impact this event had on people definitely could be felt in Europe! In the US it happend in the morning whereas in Germany it was afternoon, so half of the day was already over....
Our grandchildren (if applicable) will one day ask us about our experiences of 9/11.
Where were you? What were you doing? How did people react?
Not a bad idea...but I think we'd all sound alike. I'd get to throw yet another layer of "Brian: biggest dork ever" onto the already building pile.
