We have heard that some people can mak a lot of many just by talking. Is that really easy to make money only by talking? Many people must think being a storyteller is not a difficult job because talking is the only thing needed. Actually it is not as easy as what we thought. The stories we talk not only should be meaningful and the people who talk stories also should know how to make stories be interesting.

I don't think every one can talk stories well. I don't think every one can make stories be intriguing. Some people can stories in a very interesting way even though the stories are boring. This kind of people definately can make a lot of money by talking because he/she is talented to make the stories not just the words.

I think some poeple might not be born as a storyteller, but they can train theirselves to be a good storyteller by learning from others. I believe being a professional storyteller must have been trough a lot of experiences.

What are our stories from? Usually they come from what we see and what we hard. The things we see and heard just are around our lives. Therefore the stories are the reflection of our lives.
I like sharing experiences with people because I can get what I can’t gain from my experiences. The stories people tell show their personalities and thoughts. I think this is the good way to know people.
Some traditional Taiwanese families still think women don’t have to study a lot. They think they end up to merry some one and their husbands can support them. Therefore, some of my girlfriends just want to be housewives after they merry. However since I was young, my mom has kept telling me that women should be independent instead of relying on their husbands. This idea has kept staying in my mind, so it is why I decided to go to abroad to learn more. Therefore, I do think sometime one word or one sentence can change our lives or our thoughts.

What kind of stories do have power to influence people? What kind of people like having power to influence people? Every story has its own special part to affect people. Novels? Fictions? Right! any kind of story must can influence some people. However, I think the most powerful stories that can influence people are news.

Wwe watch news not only from TV, but also from newspapers or internet every day. Sometimes, even a very ordinary news can be discussed for a long time. Every body like gossip and the news are the best topic to be talked. Therefore, how is the society like depends on how news be reported. If journalists always report good news, I believe that the society must full of love and concern. Contrary, if journalists report unpleasant news like, raping, robing or suicide, people who live in this kind of society must can't trust each other and love each other. Unfortunately, we are not the people who can control what kind of stories should be reported. Therefore, the people who caontrol the news reporting has become very powerful to decide how to affect people's thoughts. I think it is pretty sad.

I kind of disagreeing the author's opinion about pouring the old ideas out of the mind. I do believe that we should keep accepting new stuff. However I don't think it is a good way to empty all the old ideas in our minds.
For some reasons, I think the experiences are very helpful when we are dealing with some situation. Therefore, we need what we had already to face the circumstance. When we try to influence people, we can't just use new things to do. I think the best way is to combine new and old ideas to together.
I am saying we need to insist keeping our old thoughts. We definitely need to renew our ideas by accepting new thngs. Nevertheless, I beleive there are still some useful information in old ideas. Moreover, if we combile two ideas together, it would be a totally new idea;even better than just the new ideas. I don't think it can't influence people. Hence, do we really need to discard the whole old ideas? I don't think so.

I don't whether it is true or not, but I assume being positive is the best way to be a good stryteller. Why are we talking a story? It is possible that we need to convince some people to believe our stories. Let us say in this way. If we are always whining about everything or being negative to many things. How can we give a resourful information to other poeple? Just like the stories in the book talks about fighting with the monster. That boy just give the monster some apples and he save the village. Why? Because he is smater than other poeple or he is stronger than others? He has a positive mind and his belief.
He doesn't think the ways other people used were wring and his was correct. He just has a simple mind for saving his village. I think it is why he won.
When poeple try to convince others, they usually think they are right and others are worng. Therfore they can't listen to other poepl's opinions and they just insist theirs. The more we insist our opinions, the less we can influence others. If we don't respect other poeple's opinions, how come they need to accept ours? It is both side.
If our purpose is to make some one believe our stories. We must know more about them and try to understnad what they want. If we can't have apositive mind, we might fail on it.

People usually judge things by their instincts. While some people are telling stories, whether we believe or not usually depends on our feelings. Some stories might influence people no matter it is good or not. I do believe that a storyteller might not force the listeners to believe his/her stories but he/her can use some different ways to make them beleieve.

I usually think whether a story is interesting is not really depends on the story. It is quite much depends on the storytellers. How does he /she tell the story? What kind of materils he/she use? Moreover, what listeners we are telling to is critial.

First af all, I am going to tell about ths storyteller. If a storyteller can make the stories sounds very touching and moving, people msut believe this even though the stories is not really quite good. Futhermore, we also should consider our listeners. What are our listeners for this story? What are their ages? What kind of things they are interesting in? If the listeners jusct can't believe the stories you say in the begining, it is useless.

Like what the author says, people usually believe what they want ti believe. However, it doesn;t mean that we can't affect our listeners totally. I think we need to select the right listeners and use the some different ways to tell stories.

Since we were born, our parents or teachers like telling myths or some old stories to educate us. Some people to take this kind of stories very sincerely for theri lives guides. However, some people think it is just a story. Why some people think think these stories are important for them, but some don't? In chapter 5, it mentions that people usually get what they want from the stories. Therefore, if this story has something that we desire to get, we take it seriously.

In Taiwan, we have a lot of myths. These myths are used in the different ways, such as how the world is creatived or why do we only have one sun? These stories have included many impossibilities and fun, but it also have become the meanings of educating. Since we were young, we had no idea whether it was true or not; we just accept. After growing up, we might think these stories have their possibilities of existence for our imagination. It is possible that we could find something in these stories that we would never found in our real lives.

I like one part which talks about the gesture. Normally people like using gestures when they are talking. Sometimes, we might think the gestures are a little be bothering during the talking if they are used in the appropriate time. However, I do think the gestures are needed some time if they are used very suitably. I think stures can make the stories more interesting and more fun. For instance, if the stories which are about "ction", we must need some gestures to help these.

The author says"The trick is for your gestures to create a picture so that your listeners are seeing the picture rather than your gestures." I like this saying. I think thise sentence has the same meaning whit what I talk about the proper use.

I like using gestures when I am talking because I think they help me make the stories more fun. I do beleieve a good storyteller can use gestures very properly to lure audiences' attention. Sometimes, if the storytellers can have more action during the talking such as walking around on the stage or doing some performances, the stories must be more intriguing than the storytellers just stand there and talk.

The stories establish the fact or the fact establish the stories? I think this topic is very interesting to be think. I like reading any kinds of stories no matter it is true or fake. Some people can tell the stories or write the stories which is just like they are real even though they are not. I like one part which tells that transfer the fact to the stories to instruct people. The author used the example about how Japanese tell American what they should do or not to do.
I think the fact might be boring, but if we add some thing s fun inside and then tell people, it must be a good stories. Can we say that it is not true? No! I think it just make the fact be more attractive to lure more listeners.
I think every story which is created by people must have some kind of fact there, like people's experiences. I believe that many novels msut include some fact of authors' or other people's experiences; authors just put something fascinating in them to make them be more fabulous.

Sometimes I am thinking what the story really is. Can everything happens around us and others be storyes? Does it need to have a certain meaning or it just can be a common thing which surround us. In the chapter 1, it mentions that when we tell a story, it must be persuasive to make some to believe. I really like this sentence becasue I think usually people like telling their own stories to others but not like listening to other's stories.
In my guess, people usually don't have patience to listen to uninteresting things for them. Moreover, when a person who tells a story about him/her self or others, we won't beleive it is true if this person is not persuasive. Therfore who tells stories is also very inportant.
How to make the stories be believable? If we want, every one can tell stories, but are we sure that others like it? I like tell the stories which happen arround me, my friends and my family. Ultimately, I found the way of telling stories are very critical. For example, some people can tell stories very interesting, but if it turns to another person who even doesn't know how to tell a story, it will be boring. Why? Is some thing wrong on the syories? I assume that the person who knows how to make the stories very interesting is a good storteller.
IN chapter 2, it talks about "true". The story should be true. How do I think? I think it depends. In Taiwan and China, we have some stories which is called legend. These stories are not true; all of them are made up by poele. However, aren't they interesting? Are't they good enough to listen? I don't think so. Some representative legends even were filmed into the movies or TV. I think it is cheating; it is just give us more imagination. Sometimes, even though we talk about our stories, I believe that it will be more intriguing if we add something which is fake into our stories.
I beleive that stories are very changeable.
